Another title for this could be "Why Scar hated Mufasa and Simba." 

Shani sighed as Scar nuzzled her "Oh Shani my love, I was so worried about you." Shani growled softly "I do not need you to worry for me...I need you to protect our cubs from your insane brother." Taka sighed "Now, now Shani. I understand you and he had an arguement but that doesn't make him insane." Shani scoffed "He told me we could not have cubs because Sarabi had not given birth!" Taka nuzzled his mate "I know what he saidm but you have to understand our father Ahadi wanted no revalry for the throne." Shani nuzzled her mate woth a devious smirk "I know honey and I still say you would a MUCH better king than Mufasa." Scar looked to the floor, he wanted to be king more than anything but as the older brother Mufasa was always first in-line. Scar purred "I know how you feel on my position but as long as Mufasa has a girl I am still next in-line." Shani licked the heads of her cubs and they mewed softly "Come met them." she said egarly. Taka looked over Shani's shoulder as she lay at the edge of priderock, a golden male opened his blueish-green eyes waving his paws in the air. Taka picked up the male laying his carefully in his fore-arms "Aww he is such a beautiful boy. He looks like his mother." Shani smiled "With the spirit of his father." deep down Shani loved Taka, even if she didn't appear to love him, in her own way she adored him. The brown female cub purred as she nestled herself in her mothers are "I want to name the male Simba. Meaning lion." Shani said with a smile. Scar licked the cubs forehead "Our Simba." there was a pause as Taka looked at the female "I want to name the female...Chica. Meaning young lady." The couple cooed over their new-borns when Zazu flew over to them. Zazu did not look up at the two "Taka...Shani...The king wishes to see your cubs." Zazu finally looked up at the couple a hint of guilt in his eyes "Shall I tell him you are on your way...He is in the den opposite priderock." Taka nodded "Tell him we will be as quick as possible." Zazu nodded and flew off muttering something under his breath. Scar stood up carrying Simba and Shani followed carrying Chica. The two headed to the small den. 

As they saw Mufasa, Zazu flew off. Mufasa gave a low growl "Two cubs...What are their genders." Shani laid down as Taka put Simba in her forearms next to his sister "One male..." Taka was interupted "MALE!!!" Mufasa boomed. Taka's eyes widdened "Mufasa you aren't really going to..." Taka paused as Muafas moved towards Shani "I will do what the law says I must." Taka roared and the cubs began to cry "Mufasa they are cubs. They can not over throw you. Simba and Chica would not hurt a fly and I will make sure that they never try to oppose your cub but please...Spare them." Mufasa extended his claws and slashed his brothers eyes, Taka roared in pain his eyes wincing as his newly formed Scar bleed. Mufasa now stood in front of Shani, Shani hid her cubs under her arm and snarled "Over my dead boy you f**king b**tard." Mufasa smirked "Do I really need to fight with you before you see I am the king and you MUST obey all orders given... Give me the cubs and no one else gets hurt..." As Taka looked at Mufasa all he could see was red, how could his brother do this to him. Taka growled "Mufasa." Taka pounced on his brother biting down on his neck. Mufasa roared and fell backwords crushing Taka, Taka let go and snarled as he stood up "Do you not remember? As far as our gene's go I got the lions share when it came to brutal strength." Muafsa smirked again. Taka snarled again "I would die if it meant my cubs were safe." Mufasa laughed "You've always been a SCAR on this family...An imperfection. Now look at your eye it proves how much of a Taka you really are." Shani had enough, she wan;t going to sit by and watch her mate get pushed around my Mufasa. Shani pounced at Mufasa and bit down on his neck, Taka took his chance and did the same, Mufasa simply threw both of them to the floor before turning to the cubs. Chica nuzzled her head into Simba's neck as they both cried. Taka tried to get up but because of the force with which Mufasa had thrown him to the floor his legs gave way beneath him. Taka screamed "NO!" but it was to late, Mufasa picked the cub up in his jaws before turning to face the couple they watched helplessly as Mufasa dropped Simba to the floor and stood on his skull. Shani broke into tears as she heard the screams of her cub stop. The cave fell silent the only sound thy heard was Shani's heart-broken cried. Taka growled finally able to stand up "The other cub..." Mufasa requested. Taka growled "Female..." Taka spat at Mufasa. Mufasa turned away "Good..." Taka walked over to Mufasa "You know what BROTHER...I always thought I could trust you...When I had a family you'd be happy for me...But all you have shown me today was the complete opposite. My name is no longer Taka...It is Scar...So you always remember what you have done to me..." Mufasa turned away "Lecture Zazu not me...He is the one who told me of the cubs birth..." Zazu flew back into the cave and Scar growled "You caused this feather ball...Watch you back..." Scar snapped his jaws at the bird and he jumoed back hiding behind Mufasa. Mufasa grunted "Better comfort your mate and daughter..." Mufasa left and Scar used his paw to hold his daughter close "Shh." he said softly to the crying cub "Shh both of you...I will make sure we have our revenge on Mufasa but first we wait for his cubs birth and that cub will be the key to his un-doing." Shani walked over to Scar and nuzzled him as the both put their paws behind their daughter.
